Animal Lovers to Our Core
Caring for your pet isn't our profession. It's our calling.

DVM, DABVP

Dr. Yvonne Stemwedel is the proud owner of Adobe Animal Hospital. She graduated from UC Davis Veterinary School in 1994. She purchased Adobe in 2011 and oversaw the construction of and the move into our new state of the art hospital building in 2016.
Chances are she won’t mention it, but Dr. Stemwedel is one of a very small group of specialists who earn the Diplomate title from the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. ABVP Diplomates have to prove expertise above and beyond what is required to practice veterinary medicine. Additionally, she has earned the privilege to specialize in the treatment of dogs and cats.
Dr. Stemwedel has studied veterinary ultrasonography extensively and particularly enjoys this part of her practice. She and the team at Adobe also focus on veterinary dentistry. Together they have helped hundreds of pets to have healthy, pain-free mouths.
Dr. Stemwedel is committed to your pet’s well being. She is a Fear Free Certified Professional and certified in Low Stress Handling, and in 2012, she made Adobe the very first certified Cat Friendly Practice in Petaluma.
