Ultrasound, Endoscopy, X-Rays, Blood testing… we do it all!

Adobe Animal Hospital is a full service veterinary hospital.  We offer  in-house laboratory testing,  digital xray, ultrasound, and endoscopy performed by our veterinarians on site.

Lab Services

With our onsite diagnostic lab we can have blood tests and other lab tests completed on the same day you visit us, so we can start treatment of your pet right away.

Digital Veterinary Xray

From dental xrays on a tiny kitten to hip xrays on a huge Great Dane, our state of the art digital xray systems allow us to take the highest quality xrays in just minutes, which means we have our results very quickly, and with less stress on your pet.

PennHip

Digital radiography for PennHip or OFA evaluation of your dog is available at Adobe Animal Hospital. We recommend PennHip for the most accurate assessment of your dog’s hips. PennHip evaluation can be performed in dogs as early as 16 weeks of age, allowing time for early intervention if the potential for hip problems is detected. For more information visit www.pennhip.org and call us.

Diagnostic Ultrasound

We are one of the few veterinary hospitals in the Petaluma area to offer on-site diagnostic ultrasound.  Dr. Stemwedel has a strong professional interest in ultrasound and has been performing abdominal and thoracic ultrasounds for over 20 years.
Most ultrasound examinations do not require sedation or anesthesia, and they are not painful. Cardiac ultrasound, or echocardiography,  is an excellent, non-invasive way to evaluate your cat or dog for heart disease.

Abdominal ultrasound is used to evaluate all of the internal organs.  Ultrasound can aid in the diagnosis of intestinal disease or blockages, liver  disease, kidney disease, Cushing’s disease, bladder stones, tumors,  and much more.
